Business Development Manager

Full time, permanent position from June 2019

We are seeking an outstanding and highly skilled Business Development Manager with demonstrated expertise in business planning and management accounting at a senior level.

Our successful applicant will be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical, problem solving and reporting skills. With our school going through a period of growth and change we are looking for a person who has the capability to both review and improve the school’s business and financial systems, while at the same time attend to business management tasks that support the day to day running of the school. Experience in the school sector will therefore be an advantage.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be essential in order to build a strong and highly effective administration and property team. We are also looking for someone who has an interest in Steiner education and is committed to supporting the special character of our school.

As a state integrated school our Board of Trustees are responsible for the operational side of the school while the Proprietors provide the buildings through parent contributions. The Business Development Manager, who is responsible for the Board of Trustees’ business and finances, will work closely with the principal, senior leadership team and Board to ensure a sustainable future for our school.

Raphael House is a thriving Rudolf Steiner school with students from Year 1-13 and a roll of 370. The school is located on the western hills of Lower Hutt and is surrounded by beautiful native forest.

This is a 40 hours per week, permanent position, beginning early June 2019, with an annual salary of $90,000. Employment conditions are as per the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement.

Kindergarten Centre Manager, 24 hours per week

Kindergarten Centre Manager, 24 hours per week (4 days per week), permanent from 29 April 2019

We are seeking an experienced ECE qualified teacher/Centre Manager, with Steiner experience, to lead, inspire and be inspired by our amazing team of professional teachers.  Our ideal applicant will have experience and expertise in Steiner education and outstanding organizational and communication skills. The position will provide leadership and strategic direction to the kindergarten teaching team to bring a sense of unity and will be responsible for mentoring the teachers, managing staffing, enrolments, budgets, communication with families, relief teaching, supporting the teachers in their daily rhythm, centre administration and general kindergarten management. NZ teacher registration is required.

We are seeking an experienced and highly creative teacher who is able to foster a love of learning in children and create a positive and healthy social dynamic within the class.  Our ideal applicant will be strong both academically and artistically, have a high level of expertise in meeting the needs of a diverse range of learners and have excellent classroom management skills. They will be passionate about and have a deep understanding of Steiner education. They will begin with a Class 5 (Year 6) class in 2019. NZ teacher registration is required.
